An in-person, seven-month, 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program.

A 7-month program allows for a comprehensive exploration of yoga philosophy, anatomy, asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), meditation and teaching methodologie.

The seven month container provides ample time for self-reflection, introspection, and personal evolution.

Andra and Alisha
Andra West
Andra West LeBauer is a Registered Yoga instructor, a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist, an Integrative health coach, and a mindfulness teacher. Andra began her study and practice of Hatha Yoga in 1996, as a way to relax her mind and heal her body. She incorporates her understanding of massage, meditation, yoga, and the human body into every thing she does with the intention of making the experience a complete mind, body, spirit interaction.
Alisha Wielfaert
Alisha Wielfaert is a certified yoga teacher with both 200-hour and 500-hour RYT certifications. She is also a life coach and an expert facilitator with a talent for bringing women together for deep dives into spirituality and creativity. Alisha has been teaching yoga for 15 years and is particularly fond of sharing vinyasa yoga with her students. She is the founder of Yoke and Abundance, a platform committed to amplifying the voices of emerging women through various programs, including a wise women podcast, press publishing arm, and individual and group coaching sessions. Her first book, “Little Failures: Learning to Build Resilience Through Everyday Setbacks, Challenges, and Obstacles,” became a best-seller upon its release in May 2022. Currently, Alisha is working on her second book, “Little Rituals.” In her free time, Alisha enjoys watercolor painting and is an avid traveler, writer, and speaker who enjoys working with anyone with the drive to pursue their dreams.

Techniques, Training, Practice:
75 hours
- Asana: Historical context, poses, complete sequencing (asana, pranayama, meditation). Anatomical and alignment principals plus contradictions.
- Pranayama & Subtle Body: Historical context, effects of pranayama on anatomy and subtle body. Complete sequencing of pranayama safely, including alternatives and adaptations. Koshas, kleshas, chakras, nadis and prana vayus
- Meditation: Key meditation terms. Methods by lineage. Chanting, mantras, and mudras
Anatomy & Physiology:
30 Hours
- Skeletal system, incl.: Major bones, types of joints, major muscles involved in asana, types of muscle contractions.
- Physiology:Nervous system, incl.: flight, freeze’ stress response, vagal theory, overall mind-body connection. Cardiovascular/circulatory, endocrine, digestive systems as they relate to yoga practice. Respiratory system, incl. muscles that affect breathing, involuntary vs voluntary breath, how air enters and leaves body.
- Biomechanics: Types of joint movements. Joint stabilization. Safe movement as it pertains to balancing, stretching, awareness, and physical limitations. Contraindications, misalignments, adaptations.
Yoga Humanities:
30 hours
- History: The term yoga. Our lineage, style, and methodology. Dates and key ideas such as the Vedas, Vedanta, Hatha, Colonial, Modern .
- Philosophy: Definition of yoga and key terms. Relationship between asana, pranayama, meditation. Familiarity w/ major yogic texts (i.e., Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Hatha Yoga Pradipika). Self-reflection on how philosophy relates to practice
- Ethics: Awareness of Yoga Sutras or similar yogic ethical precepts. Relationship to Yoga Alliance Ethical Commitment including Scope of Practice, Code of Conduct, and Equity Position Statement. Comprehension of and responsibility to increase equity in yoga accountability measures. Self-reflection on how yoga ethics relate to practice and teaching
Teaching Methodology:
50 Hours
- Sequencing, pace, environment (cueing, verbal, visual, physical), class management.
- Professional Development: Yoga-related professional organizations, including the Yoga Alliance credentialing process. Ethical Commitment, including Scope of Practice, Code of Conduct and Equity Position Statement. Lifetime of learning and continuing education. General professionalism, including timeliness, consistency, cleanliness. Marketing and promotion. Liability insurance, waivers, invoicing
- Practicum (Practice Teaching): Knowledge, skills, experience across 12 key competencies. Mentorship component,incl. apprenticeship, feedback
